Who We Are

LIFT’s mission is to bridge the gap between traditional counseling and facility-based treatment by providing intensive, family-centered treatment for children and young adults ages 5-25.

LIFT Therapies provides family therapy, individual therapy, in-home support (skills therapy), music therapy, parent coaching, and treatment team collaboration and coordination. With true collaborative care using a team-based approach and intensive treatment for the individual client and the family system as a whole, LIFT offers the benefits of a high level of care along with the flexibility and comfort that allows families to continue school and day-to-day life in their own home.

Who We're Looking For

Our skills therapists have one of the most impactful roles on our treatment teams. Collaborating with a client's individual and/or family therapist, our skills therapists work with the client and family in a casual, relaxed "real life" setting to learn and practice skills that support their individual treatment.

This can look like teaching life skills, coping skills, or social-emotional curriculum in settings such as the client's home, local park or coffee shop, or during activities such as getting a meal, bowling, or applying to jobs. In addition, our skills therapists provide invaluable insights through home observations of family dynamics.

This is a unique role perfect for a recent graduate (LPC-A, LMSW, LMFT-A) who wants to get clinical hours in a private practice setting. This role is also a great option for a fully licensed therapist looking to leave behind the rigid schedule of back-to-back client sessions in an office setting. This is a part-time W2 position with full-time potential. The skills therapist role is a community-based position with the option to see clients in our Preston Center office as needed. Flexible availability required for scheduling client sessions in the afternoon and evenings between 2pm and 7pm.

Our ideal candidate has experience working with a higher level of care client, enjoys working with clients and families with complex mental and behavioral health needs, loves working from a family systems perspective, and values working as part of a collaborative treatment team. Our ideal candidate is a high energy, self-motivated, and results-oriented mental health professional with the ability to connect authentically with children, adolescents, and families.
